The Independent Opera Company's (IOC) stunning filmed production of Lori Laitman’s powerful Holocaust-themed song cycle, "The Seed of Dream," has secured second place in the prestigious 2023 Ernst Bacon Memorial Award for the Performance of American Music.


This remarkable achievement is a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of our outstanding team, including the brilliant baritone Aaron Ball, the accomplished pianist Galina Barskaya, and the talented cellist Thomas Lovasz. Together, they brought Lori Laitman's evocative composition to life in a way that resonated with the hearts of our audience.


The American Prize competitions aim to highlight and reward the exceptional contributions made by musicians and artists across the country, making this recognition even more special.
