Here Is What We've Planned For IOC 2023-2024 Season!

The stage is set for Independent Opera Company fabulous 2023-2024 season!

We’re starting with Overture Gala on Sunday October 15th 4-7. This will be an exclusive opportunity to attend an event that promises to be a delightful sensory experience. This concert/fundraiser will feature an exquisite musical performance along with refreshments and drinks. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to interact with members of the company and get a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes workings of the opera world. This invitation presents a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the world of opera and engage with like-minded individuals who share a love for the art form. Seating is very limited, and the location will be revealed upon ticket reservation/purchase.

Then on November 10th and 11th at 7:30pm, IOC will perform a double bill of two operas by Cesar Qui, The Red Riding Hood and Puss In Boots. These operas are based on the two popular namesake fairy tales. Some of you may remember the IOC's delightful production of these two operas in the Spring of 2022. These rarely performed works are a lot of fun and very enjoyable, especially for the young and "the young at heart.” The venue is the beautiful River of the Valley.

In the Spring of 2024 IOC will present the beautiful, dramatic opera Lucia Di Lammermoor by G. Donizetti. The dates are Friday March 8th and Saturday 9th at 7:30pm.

We will finish the season with another dramatic story, Dialogues of the Carmelites by F. Poulenc. This story about events of French Revolution has strange reverence in today's complex world and undeniable cathartic release.
